Our New School - Kaohsiung American School

Teaching at KAS has been such an incredible thing for me. I am learning SO much and feel like I'm becoming a better and better teacher each and every day. One of the very cool things that is happening here is that we will be moving into a brand new school in just a few weeks. The goal is that we begin moving next month.

This is a photo of the new school which is being built on the existing school grounds. It's quite impressive.

Here is a short video that has the architect's 3-D images. You can get an idea of what it all looks like. Right now we are housed in a very old set of buildings and enrollment will surely go up once people get a load of this new building. There is a second stage of building set to start this summer after they demolish the old school. This will include a new cafeteria, pool, sports playing fields, etc.

Here is a short video showing the student body and staff of KAS creating a big arrow pointing to the new campus. We are all excited to move into classrooms that are state-of-the-art, larger and completely wired for new technology.

I can't gush enough about how lucky I am to be here.
